I am an avid watcher of Fixer Upper! I tape every new episode on Tuesday evenings and I tend to have reruns of the show playing on my television during the weekend. While my house and decorating style are completely different from Joanna’s, I really love and appreciate her designs. I love inspirational quotes and believe that having a few favorites around the house helps to bring perspective back to a stressful or crazy day. So I purchased the large size of the “Today is a good day” sign and decided to hang it up in my master bathroom. You may be thinking “Why is she hanging such a beautiful sign there?” But in all honesty this is the best place in my home for this particular quote. The message is in the place where I spend the most time each morning getting ready for work. The quote on this sign helps me stop for a minute and remember that today is a new day and that I need to try to make it as good of a day as possible.
This of course is much easier said than done. I work full-time and my job is very demanding. It can be very difficult to put the stresses from the day before aside, especially when whatever was aggravating me has not been resolved. But I also know I will enjoy my life more if I can start each day trying to realize that “Today is a good day for a good day!”
