INSPIRATION FOR A HAPPY LIFE – “TODAY IS A GOOD DAY FOR A GOOD DAY” INSPIRATIONAL SIGN

I am an avid watcher of Fixer Upper!  I tape every new episode on Tuesday evenings and I tend to have reruns of the show playing on my television during the weekend.  While my house and decorating style are completely different from Joanna's, I really love and appreciate her designs.  If you are familiar with the show you know that she often uses inspirational quotes in people's homes which are etched into metal by Jimmy Don.  What you may or may not know is that you can purchase these signs ...

HOW I FURNISHED MY EMPTY HOUSE WITH QUALITY FURNITURE ON A BUDGET AND HOW YOU CAN TOO

My husband and I purchased our first house in our early 30's.  We were fortunate enough to have saved enough money to move straight from an apartment to our forever home.  However having lived in one bedroom apartments for years, we had very little furniture when we moved into our new home.  We only had enough furniture to fill up the family room, master bedroom and one of the guest bedrooms, but the rest of the house was basically empty.  A house does not really start to feel like your home ...

CLOSING DAY OF OUR FIRST HOME

One of the happiest days of my life (aside from the day I married my wonderful husband) was the day we closed on our first house.  It was a Friday and our final walk through and closing were early in the morning.  I decided to take the full day off from work because I was so excited and I wanted to spend the day in my new house. RESOLUTION #1 - RENOVATING HALL BATHROOM This year I have multiple home resolutions I plan to tackle.  My first goal is to renovate our upstairs hall bathroom.  Not only is ...

About the Blog

“Footwork is one of the primary prerequisites to becoming a great player.”

~ Mike Kryzewski

Whether in dance, sports, or life, footwork is one of the fundamental keys to learning, developing and later mastering skills.  As we get older though, learning all the fundamentals of becoming an adult becomes more daunting.  There is not a quick-read manual or class on life and often we lack the time to immerse ourselves into everything we would like to know.

I want this to be a place where I can share with you what I learn along this journey and you too can share your knowledge.  Lets jump in together as we experience Learning Life’s Footwork.
